From surgery to remove an aggressive growth
That was causing Tyrone back pain about a month ago
To this week leading on the Korn Ferry Tour after Round 1

Matched 66’s in Round 1 to lead the field by 1 shot

What does it take to focus mentally
After being put on anesthesia and having
Your first ever surgery?

Tyrone said, “It was my first surgery ever. But after that I felt good mentally, but I couldn’t do anything for two weeks because of the cut and the stitches.”

So once the initial cloudiness of going through his first surgery
He felt like he was back to his normal self
And after he knocked off the rust last week
He seems to be back in stride

That just goes to show how mentally strong these
PGA and Korn Ferry Tour Players really are

Austin Smotherman has had a little different motivation this week
Being a Southern Methodist University Graduate
He was teammates and good friends with
This weeks PGA Tour Winner, Bryson DeChambeau

And Bryson treated Smotherman and a few others to dinner
Making sure the trophy was displayed for the group to see…
This was all the motivation he needed

Will Smotherman hang on to his Round 1 lead
